World Cup 2010 Final Draw

USAThe 2010 World Cup groups have now been announced, as of this morning and the US is paired up with England, Algeria, & Slovenia.  Coincidentally, the only two teams in the tournament that the United States has never played in any match (Algeria & Slovenia) were put in Group C.EnglandSloveniaAlgeria The US will play their first of three group stage matches on June 12th at 11:30 AM PST against a talented England team.  This is an England team that will feature David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Steven Gerrard.  Beckham will soon be facing many of the same players he has competed against in the MLS with the LA Galaxy the last couple years.  This is quite possibly the last World Cup Beckham will play for England, as he is 34 years old at the moment, and would be 38 for the 2014 World Cup.  England and the US have only played one other time in the group stages of the World Cup, in which the US stunned England with a 1-0 loss back in 1950.  The US will look to come out strong in their first game, for what looks to be their most challenging competitor in their group, England.
